Horizons West is our neighborhood surf shop on Main and Bay. Not the most friendly or affordable place, but it's smack in the heart of Dogtown. In fact, it's the original location of the Zephyr Surf Shop, where surfers and skaters from Venice and Santa Monica used to hang out in the mid-70's. An icon portrayed in
Stacy Peralta's documovie
Dogtown and Z Boys.
Horizons West has retained the dude attitude, complete with cool murals and window displays that include live water dragons making whoppie in front of the world.
