The Rise Of Slime

Starting this weekend, the Los Angeles Times is running a very cool five-part, multimedia series on the decay of oceans throughout the world [Altered Oceans].

An issue surfer and beach communities are particularly sensitive to, as we're well aware of the slime breeding below the magical, blue surface [surfer flu, anyone?]

It's a great initiative, well put together. Informative, didactic, "entertaining". With its front page promo, look and content, the series is a perfect tool to raise public awareness. Kudos, LAT.
