To Paris With Love

Paris je t'aime is a collection of short films, woven into a single narrative to portray Paris as the City of Love. Renowned actors and directors from all over the world brought their personal touch, to unveil the wide variety of genres, atmospheres and lifestyles that prevail in the neighborhoods of Paris.

The quartiers:
Montmartre, Quais de Seine, Marais, Tuileries, Porte de Choisy, Bastille, Place des Victoires, Tour Eiffel, Pigalle, Parc Monceau, Enfants Rouges, Place des Fêtes, Madeleine, Père Lachaise, Faubourg Saint-Denis, Quartier Latin, 14th, far from the 16th.

The brochette:
Fanny Ardant, Olivier Assayas, Juliette Binoche, Steve Buscemi, The Cohen brothers, Wes Craven, Alfonson Cuaron, Willem Dafoe, Gérard Depardieu, Christopher Doyle, Hippolyte Girardot, Bob Hoskins, Nick Nolte, Bruno Polyadès, Natalie Portman, Ludivine Sagnier, Barbet Schroeder, Gus Van Sant, Elijah Wood, Li Xin, etc.

The film was presented in Cannes this year, and I can't wait for it to be distributed in the States. Lucky Paris-based Maîtresse saw it. She deconstructs the film all right, but then concludes: "If I were still living in the States, frustrated and longing to move to Paris, seeing this film would have put me over the edge. Good thing I'm already here." Need we say more?
