Ballona Lagoon

Tucked between Marina del Rey and the Peninsula, the Ballona Lagoon estuary is the perfect escape from busy life and beach traffic.
Designated as a conservation area, The 16-acre wetlands run parallel to Venice beach. They have long been a sanctuary for migrating birds, including rare species.Fortunately, attempts to privatize and develop the area were thwarted, and the natural habitat has been preserved and enhanced.
There is a public path that runs between the water and the residents' lush gardens, providing one mile of dreamy peace and quiet between Via Dolce and the Marina.A great place to resource, or simply picnic, right in our backyard.
