Christmas Shopping

Another artificial Christmas tree goes up, this time at the Edgemar. Made of 83 shopping carts, it was assembled for the tenth consecutive year by Santa Monica artist Anthony Schmitt.
A perfect metaphor for the Holiday season, which centers heavily on shopping. According to the National Retail Federation, Americans will spend up to $460 billion on holiday gifts this year, 30% of which using credit card debt.
