Philistines

We went to the the U.S. premiere of Guillaume Canet's movie Ne le dis à personne. An excellent thriller, with superb acting and directing. Shame it was part of the American Film Market currently in town, which meant that a lot of movie "pros" attended the show. In body only: half of them kept busy typing on cell phones, blackberrys and other PDAs for most of the film. Some even didn't hesitate to take calls, with that loud, I'm a VIP, hear me conducting this amazing business tone. The big screen kept competing with little ones.

WTF?! Movies may be your business, but if you're so blasé about them, go sell burgers, or PDAs for that matter. And let the real movie buffs enjoy the show.
