See all those guys in local coffee shops, pretending to work? Well, they are actually working. Not all are the poseurs or dilettantes they seem to be. Some even pull in 9 to 5 schedules. Steve Lopez brought these latterati workers to light for the L.A.Times. The SMDP tracked them down too, and provided a list of cool Westside offices. Our favorite? The Novel Cafe -- with its old, creaky books.
