Biodegradable

Euros are always floored by building construction here -- made from wood as opposed to steal and stone, earthquake country oblige.
A neighbor bought this (formerly) charming one-story craftsman cottage a couple of years ago, and applied for a permit to build an additional story. Work started yesterday, and here is the status after two men worked at it for half a day. Half a day, to turn a house into an empty shell with no roof. Amazing. Like the Three Little Pigs being puffed away by the big bad demo wolf. Progress here.
