Coco Butter & Gun Powder

Sounds like the title of a cheap detective novels sold at airports.
"Coco butter and gun powder" is the smell of Compton and South Central, according to Curbed LA's recent neighborhood sniff survey. Chichi Santa Monica doesn't do too good: "Urine, salty air and jet engine." Jasmine and cold wind? Cheviot Hills. Plucked chicken and wet dogs? Chinatowm. More neighborhoods here.
