Chris Jordan Keeps Running The Numbers

In his photo-series Running the Numbers, Chris Jordan continues his critique of society. Methodical and austere, his works are a powerful denunciation of the consequences of our consumerist culture. The assemblage above is a detail of his 32,000 Barbie doll project, representing the number of elective breast augmentation surgeries performed monthly in the U.S. in 2006. More works from the series here. Jordan is regularly exhibited at Paul Kopeikin on Wilshire.
