Accidental Art

Art can sometimes border on the morbid.
BLDG BLOG writes of artist Luther Thie's proposed LA Interchange at the intersection of L.A.'s Harbor and Santa Monica freeways: "The project would install a gigantic public water fountain – and then use the fountain's water supply as a way to graph traffic accidents and fatalities occurring on highways throughout the greater L.A. area. When a fatality occurs, the fountain attains its highest level and fades to blue." More here.
