There Is Beauty In Plastic

Plastic bags, and plastic in general, have a bad rep these days, and quite rightly (how about the great pacific garbage patch drifting in the North Pacific, killing all ecosystems in its wake?)

Yet, "plastic’s infamous reputation with the eco-crowd has fueled a creative renaissance that stirs significant introspection into how we have used plastic and how we can use it," as Inhabitat writes. And recycling creativity, too, whether it is in everyday objects, haute couture, or art -- like this impromptu garden light installation by Luzinterruptus near the Prado Museum in Madrid. So whimsical you'd almost forgive plastic. More photos here.
