Fly To Paris In A Solar Blimp

Fancy taking a transatlantic flight on a cruise ship powered by sunshine? Not that far fetched. According to Wired's Airtopia, Spanish company Turtle Airships is working on plans to build a luxurious solar-powered blimp to fly passengers from New York to Paris. The amphibious vessel is designed to land on air and sea, and is only awaiting funding to go operational. Don't expect Concorde speeds, though: this blimp which doesn't like to call itself a blimp can only reach 40 miles per hour. More details via Turtle Airships' blog.
