Santa Monica Gets Its First Green Street

Here is Bicknell Avenue at the 100 block.

Not only does it boast beautiful ocean views, it has also become the first green street in Santa Monica, The LookOut news reports. The principle? Instead of having stormwater runoff and pollutants waste away in the ocean, why not infiltrate it into the ground? Details here. Enlarge board here. A small step, but in the right direction.
