Vertical Gardens

French botanist and CNRS researcher Patrick Blanc has taken his passion for suspending plants to large-scale urban affairs, turning building walls into vertical gardens. His largest project on Rue d'Alsace in Paris tops 15,000 square feet, but Blanc's vegetal oeuvres can be seen all around the world -- from London to Portugal to Koweit to Taipei. Wired has the story with more photos.
