Here's Looking At You, Paris

In true Paris urban fashion, the city is currently hosting an outdoor exhibit by French photographer JR, Women are Heroes, a series of portraits of women who lived with daily violence, poverty, war and discrimination. What has the blogosphere buzzing is that JR's oversized canvasses are plastered on the bridges and banks of the river Seine, one of the most touristic sites in Paris. An "in your face" statement, which is JR's purpose. The exhibit runs until November 2, and is yet another reason to check the next flights for Paris.

Wow- this is so cool. All though if I were a tourist visiting Paris for the first time wanting to get classic shots of the city I might be a little mad to have big bulging eyeballs in the back of my pics ;)

Your comment is straight to the point, and echoes most expat bloggers' in Paris: cool exhibit, but what about tourists? Yet, that's what I love about the city: in-your-face urban art.
