Can someone explain what's parisienne about YSL's new perfume Parisienne? Not its industrial "freshener" scent. Nor its commercial, with British model Kate Moss at her best: Eurotrash. There is something deeply depressing about Saint-Laurent's understated elegance being eviscerated by today's world of industrial conglomerates, who no longer appreciate Couture -- preferring to woo the nouveau jet-set; and hire pipeules as models, or worse: artistic advisors. RIP, French chic.
