The Reality Of The Gulf Oil Spill

Regarding the dramatic, ecocidal oil spill in the Gulf -- mostly due to corporate shortcuts and oversights -- BP Chief Executive Tony Hayward repeatedly said that "the environmental impact will be very modest." Ask this pelican if it thinks the impact is modest. Or these birds. And the sea creatures. And the affected communities. The fact is, this spill eclipses the Exxon Valdez, so let's make sure those responsible for the disaster are held accountable. For a change.
