The City of Santa Monica gave us a delightful, tropical surprise last night. As part of its "Jazz on the Lawn" series, it invited jazz legend Francisco Aguabella to play his famous Afro-Cuban rhythms on the City Hall lawn.
The atmosphere was great. Very laid back, with people relaxing on the grass after a hot day, salsa lovers dancing on the sidewalk, kids playing with balloons, lovers flirting, impromptu picnics here and there... The perfect way to end a perfect weekend.
