Bad News

This ones comes from the NYT via Why Travel to France:
France may introduce electronic machines in the upcoming presidential elections later this month. "Who authorized all voting machines?" asks Why Travel to France. "The French Interior Ministry. Guess who was the Interior Minister when the voting machines got authorized? None other than Nicolas Sarkozy." Btw, Sarko is one of the presidential candidates.

This is causing outrage from rival candidates and advocacy groups. Though only a fraction of the voters would use the machines, it still represents enough votes to alter the election results.

"We have an extreme amount of confidence in our machines in France," says the director of marketing and communications for manufacturer ES&S-iVotronic. "Our machines have proven themselves in thousands of elections in the United States and elsewhere."

Florida, anyone? How about Ohio?
