Ace Exhibits

Robert Wilson is renowned internationally for his avant-garde theatrical productions. Less known is his engagement in other art forms -- including his new fluorescent, faux-still portraits currently on show at ACE Los Angeles.
"The video portraits feature animals, everyday people and elebrities who slowly and subtly move within the frame of the large-scale flat screen. With his human subjects, Wilson constructs vignettes that employ the dramatic lighting and staging characteristic of his theater pieces.
