International Surfing Day

Today is International Surfing Day, "a global effort to bring surfers together for the betterment of the ocean and the sport."
"The annual observance, now in its third year, was established to inspire wave riders everywhere to take a day to share and acknowledge their mutual love of surfing and our beach and ocean environments," says Surfing Magazine editor Evan Slater. Surfing and beach cleanup events will take place around the word.

It's a goldious day out there, and the water temperature is just perfect, so pick up your board, go catch a few waves, and join the local beach cleanups organized by Surfrider Foundation.
