Dubai's Ice Age

Impossible n'est pas Dubai:
The tiny emirate has made outlandish development its trademark. All internationally renown architects flock there, building the tallest, most lavish projects. Money pours, as is Dubai's determination to become the newest, hippest global destination.

Now introducing Dubai's Chillout, the first ice lounge in the Middle East. It may be 44˚C outside (111˚F) but inside, patrons shiver while having drinks in a freezing room made entirely of ice. The IHT has the story -- citing concerns about the energy consumption in this desert land, which by the way is already the highest in the world.
