A Room With A View

There was the nomadic museum. Now there is the nomadic hotel.
This prefab capsule temporarily perched on the roof of Palais de Tokyo in Paris is a portable, self-contained one-bedroom hotel with all the usual luxury amenities, plus more: designer features, king-size bed, deluxe bathroom, wi-fi, cable, mini-bar, breakfast delivered at the door, mini cooper on loan with parking, exceptional city views.
Hotel Everland is the result of of Swiss artists Lang & Baumann's exploration of the relationship between public space and exclusivity, with guests being an integral part of the art project. Palais de Tokyo, which has revamped itself as the city's contemporary art venue, is the perfect locale for such an experimental performance. The hotel will be open until December 2008, when it will take off to another city. More pix here. Virtual tour here. [via Why Travel To France]
