The Santa Monica Drive-In At The Pier treated us to Casablanca on Friday night: deck chairs, yummy picnic, smuggled pinot noir, great company, and the pleasure to watch (again, and again, and again) one of the greatest movie classics, while the ocean breeze lifted the nearby surf to a gentle background purr.Yesterday, the Pier welcomed the Los Angeles Shelby Auto Club's fourth annual Tony Sousa Memorial Car Show: about a hundred roaring, sexy vintage Fords celebrating the legacy of hot-rod genius Carroll Shelby.
