So Long James

Gros coup de boule: James Brown died this weekend. The so-called "Godfather of Soul" sat at the crossroads of Afro American music -- from gospel and R&B to soul and funk; from rock to jazz, reggae, disco, dance, afrobeat, hip-hop. Prolific. Influential. Incontournable. He is probably up there now, looking at his legacy, thinking I feel good. And it feels good listening to it.
